Happy Guests at Garden of Eden
Truly unique, island experience!
The Garden of Eden is a tranquil oasis secluded from the hustle & bustle that surrounds Bocas Del Toro. It is located on the tip of Isla Sloarte and is seperated by mangroves making it feel like you are on your own private island. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are very clean and all have ocean views! The pool and common areas are well looked after & Miguel's food is delicious. The best part about this place is that it is run like a B&B;, Sue and Dave go out of their way to make sure their guests have a great stay and are more than happy to have a chat if you so wish or they will leave you alone if quite time is your command! Although this place may seem secluded, it is very easy to get to Red Frog Beach if you want to get active and see some beautiful sights (use the Kayak's they will lend you for free!) and time here flies, it's so easy to relax. A perfect hideaway!
If you are not into the busy life of Bocas, this is definitely the place to stay. It is a secluded paradise set in its own tropical garden on the waterfront. Accommodation is limited, but as a result one gets to know the other guests and the staff quiet well. Eating is communal and Miguel, the chef, provides meals far better in quality than one can find in Bocas. The staff are friendly and helpful, but keep at a distance if one wishes to be on one's own. Kayaks are available for exploring the mangroves and near-by islands, but if one wants to go further one needs a water taxi. Excellent location and service.
We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and loved it. The hotel is really small, 3 bedrooms, and we stayed in the separate 2 beds lodge. All 3 rooms have balconies with great views. The pool was relaxing and we loved canoeing in the quiet waters surrounding the island. The food and service provided was excellent. In the middle of nowhere you will find an oasis with very comfortable accommodations, excelent food and a great example of sustainability.
